Ranch Fencing Built by People Who Have Worked a Ranch

Livestock fencing fails when it's installed by someone who has never had to pull wire across 40 acres of rocky ground, set posts in soil that fights back, or tension a fence line that has to hold a bull. Sta-Bull Fence has been doing this work since 1982. That's not a marketing claim — it's the difference between a fence that holds and one that sags in two seasons.

We work with lodgepole, non-climb wire, high-tensile livestock fencing, barb wire, and electric or solar fencing systems — whatever is appropriate for your animals, your acreage, and your soil. We also pound T-posts and drill holes in terrain where standard equipment can't get a footing. The Sierra foothills throw everything at a crew. We've worked this terrain for four decades.

Whether you're fencing a horse pasture, securing a perimeter for cattle, replacing old wire that's past its useful life, or building out a working ranch from scratch — we bring the right equipment and the experience to do it without shortcuts. Large projects can be quoted by section if you need to phase the work.

What to Expect

1

Property walkthrough

Pete visits your property, walks the fence line, assesses the terrain and soil conditions, and talks through what system makes the most sense for your animals and your use case.

2

Written estimate by section

Large ranch projects are often quoted by section or fence line. Pete gives you a clear breakdown so you can phase the work if needed — no all-or-nothing pressure.

3

Equipment & crew on site

We bring the right machinery for the terrain. No guessing, no workarounds that look fine now and fail in two years.

4

Built to hold

Ranch fencing has to work. Pete doesn't leave until the job is solid — posts are set, wire is tensioned properly, and gates swing true.

“Pete and his crew removed ~500 yards of lodgepole fencing with wire and replaced it with all new lodgepoles, high-end livestock fencing, and custom built gates — on time and on budget in the beginning of winter when it was cold and wet. Nothing stopped these guys from doing a great job.”
